The Government of India has recently released the consolidated Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Policy 2017, to enable the foreign investors to understand the FDI policies and with an aim to promote investments. For the first time the Policy includes the provisions relating to start ups.  Provisions have been included for raising FDI from Venture Capital Funding and from other sources.  The Policy can be downloaded from the following website:
